Now we're talking! There's a lot of folks at Wizards who play Commander, and while they've cooked up a lot of new cards for our enjoyment, they've also know well which classics are key to the format and they've brought some back for our new players' enjoyment. Check out the Arcana on dailymtg.com today for another incredible reprint that's coming.

I don't think Greaves requires a lot of explanation, really... their role in the format is well established. There's a lot of different ways to protect a legendary creature, but the boots remain one of the most efficient. They play especially well in decks like Edric or Nicol Bolas, who also benefit from attacking... but their ability to protect an expensive rear-guard general like Jin-Gitaxias or Karador.

These decks are sounding better and better every day. Sol Ring and Lightning Greaves. Can't wait to see what other staples are included.

Wait, the decks have Sol Ring in them? SWEET!

And I already don't have enough Greaves to go around. It's a $5 card. And Sol Ring goes for $20, minimum. These decks are looking better and better.

Good thing I preordered a set from my local game store at retail. These are going to be From the Vault-esque sellouts.

If local stores won't sell you the product at retail, then they're shooting themselves in the foot - these are gonna be in walmarts and targets for a long time.

These decks will be available at places like Walmart, right? I'd hate to see prices on these skyrocket and become hard to acquire. That would be a real shame.

Every other multiplayer product has been, so this should be no different.

Sol Ring crashing to a $4-5 uncommon?

Probably just going to drop back to its pre-Commander price of 10. Even with mass-printing it still will go into almost every casual and EDH deck it can fit into.

It's possible these are not in every deck... however... I am so goddamn happy.

Here's hoping it's at least in the RUG deck. I want more surprise reprints. If Vindicate is reprinted I think you just gave 100,000 people a heart attack.

Oh, boots, how I love you so...
There's never enough boots.

This has been pretty much the only WotC decision this year that has been met with nigh-universal acclaim. Obviously, there are a few nay-sayers, but there always will be. I'm firmly in the acclaim camp (in fact, I've taken out a mortgage on a nice flat, and I'm thinking of getting a puppy). It's just a shame you guys got kind of upstaged with your preview - EVERY DECK HAS SOL RING, vs., lightning greaves.

Throw a top in these decks and they just paid for themselves. =)

Since world + dog will have all these wonderful "reprints", the value will probably go through the floor overall, with AB versions not being affected due to card snobbage :P
