Sidisi, Undead Vizier is probably still easier to abuse as a general, although she's a much worse plan B if you need to win via general damage or something.

*(EDIT) I forgot Tiger can still be used as a counterspell if an opponent hard-casts Splendor targeting you, but Tiger won't help when they sacrifice Academy Rector and you don't know for sure that Splendor is what they're going to find or that it will be placed on you. Tiger also will not help if you draw it after the curse is attached to you.

Seht's Tiger giving you protection from white does work, also after you have been enchanted. From the comp rules:

702.16c A permanent or player with protection can’t be enchanted by Auras that have the stated quality. Such Auras attached to the permanent or player with protection will be put into their owners’ graveyards as a state-based action. (See rule 704, “State-Based Actions.”)

The icky control player inside me wants to rebuild my Hanna Stax deck with Overwhelming Splendor, Copy Enchantment, and Clever Impersonator.

On a different note, I really like the Afflict mechanic. Not only is it the first punisher-style mechanic in a while that looks like it might be viable, the design space that Ammit Eternal and Wildfire Eternal occupy seems both broad and interesting.

So that's any 2 lands, tapped, and occasional zombies.
It's kind of the peak of the land search cmcs that I'd consider running outside of Maelstrom Wanderer but probably ok for that because you're not hitting it turns 2-3 with artifact mana too often.

If I wanted to run non-basic TOTTB effects, I'd probably run this and forget about the zombies. Also fairly sure that it will not effect standard to the extent that the price blows up so it''s likely a dollar-bin rare.

I'm ok with this card.

Tiger actually can not make the specific curse fall off as Tiger will have no abilities when it enters the battlefield. Other curses, yes you can make them fall off of you by giving yourself protection from their color.

I am also OK with this card, but sadly must make a prediction.

The first time I see someone else resolve this, the next two cards I see will be Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth + Cabal Coffers.

Yeah, its great for mana fixing, but too slow for ramp... unless its Urborg + Coffers.

If I ran this I would most likely search up two Ravnica Bounce lands.

I don't play ramp that costs more than 4 cmc. I wonder if Hour of Promise would have been overpowered if it cost 2GG without the zombie clause.

Very likely would be broken at 4cmc, as right now Sylvan Scrying is 2 mana for unconditional land search to hand... doubling that and giving it the ETB tapped clause makes it very strong as is with combos like Cabal Coffers + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, Dark Depths + Thespian's Stage, 2 of 3 Urza's lands, Eldrazi Temple + Eye of Ugin, etc. Plenty of ramp to be had to potentially negate the cost of having this resolve.

Considering how unlikely it is that a player will have 3+ desert lands when this resolves (outside of block constructed and themed edh decks using someone like Hazezon Tamar), that free zombie token trigger is more of the icing/sprinkles on the cake.

5 cmc is where this had to be to avoid serious power creep, as it is already very strong and better than the multitude of Nissa themed basic ramp spells from the past few blocks.

A 3 mana Stifle that draws you a card AND can't be countered? I'll take a hundred thank you very much!!

I wouldn't usually be that guy, but this is too perfect:

*Ahem* Can't be countered? Except by Stifle.

Maro just tweeted this....

I really dig it, plays well with Ephara and Trostani (my favorite generals), as well as any Soul Sisters-like strategy.

If anyone is tempted to go look at "Horse"s on gatherer, don't bother. They're not worth looking at.

(Inb4 Horse Lord/Rohan joke of some kind)

That's a shoo-in for my Selvala v1 deck.
