Dragon Tribal support, with good utility cards.
More Cats for Cat tribal, some of which are solid standalone.
More Lifegain synergy cards, my Soul-Sisters might have a Modern viable variant now.

They brought Core Sets back EXCELLENTLY.

If I had the time I'd have try for some kind of Standard Reanimator deck with Desecrated Tomb, a bunch of Lilliana's, Embalm/Eternalize creatures, and Isareth the Awakener.

The first couple small batches of spoilers did not inspire a lot of optimism. But now that much of the set has been revealed... I have to agree wholeheartedly. This set looks wonderful. I feel like they did a lot of things well here, but the main takeaway, IMO, is that they really nailed what the core set SHOULD feel like.

The cards are interesting and playable, but (mostly) don't feel super pushed, power-wise. There are a lot of cards that, for EDH purposes, you would not be ashamed to run, but also would not be ashamed to NOT run.

Basically, they hit that sweet spot of respectable, but not instant-staple, must-run-in-every-deck powerful.

The designs are mostly simple enough for newer players to grasp, yet interesting enough for veterans to not be completely unimpressed by.

The Elder Dragons are mostly interesting/unique/suprising designs that feels like they were really flexing their creative design muscles.

I have some quibbles here and there, but overall this set feels like exactly what every core set should be. It reminds me of "good ol' days" Magic sets as well. Really excited about the future of Magic after seeing Dominaria, BBD and this set.

Well, it seems like whoever first mentioned Shield Sphere (it wasn't me; I was just echoing them) for Arcades was not alone. Used to be that the Sphere was selling for about $1.75. Sounds about right for an Alliances uncommon, right?

Now it's $6.99. And SCG is already out of stock.

Arcades must have hit a chord.

Oddly, Wall of Denial is nowhere near as expensive; still hovering around $1.00, depending on printing. Then again, the supply of it is much greater. (Not to mention you can't equip or enchant it. Shield Sphere is under no such restrictions.)

EDIT: NM/M Wall of Kelp is out of stock too, and going for $5.99.

Good thing I bought all the Shield Spheres I could ever need for a Legacy Cheerios deck forever ago...

In a Two-Headed Giant game, Fraying Omnipotence causes each player to lose half of their team's life, rounded up. This means that teams at an even life total will have 0 life, and teams at an odd life total will have -1 life. The game then ends in a draw.

Made me laugh pretty hard. This is why I don't play 2HG.

Now we know what to cast beside Stunning Reversal though. :)

Because it's not an instant, and if it had flash, it would be an instant that sometimes maquerades as a creature

I just want a foil of this, it's great art. I don't even care if I use it or not :)

I have like three different decks I could see putting Liliana's Contract into.
