Really good with Soulfire Grand Master if you're in those 4 colors.

Or The Wanderer if you just want to go B/W

The Wanderer's static ability is to prevent all non combat damage to you

If you are W/B, sounds like you should also run Pariah and the shield, Stuffy Doll and his bride, and other damage redirects too (it is damage, not loss-of-life).

Funny that this 'Masterless' Sarkhan is actually a REALLY good target for Dragonlord Silumgar to enthrall. Flavor flop, or flavor slam dunk? If you're in mono-red, you can also get good value out of Basilisk Collar, Sword of Kaldra, Neko-Te, or even Soul-Scar Mage/Blight Sickle.

Despark seems to be a very good piece of removal for EDH.

Nice, now I can play Pokemon. I like how Wizards sometimes does crazy stuff like this: this'll cost them money without earning a lot of money (unlike mythic edition). Good for building the brand, I think. What I don't like is that the art helps me to recognize cards in foreign languages, so this is going to be a challenge.

Which is why I would've much rather preferred the Japanese Alternate Art Planeswalkers as individual card sleeves instead of replacing the actual cards in Japanese War of the Spark boosters. Kinda reminds me of the Chibi Planeswalker sleeves that Ultra Pro used to sell with Ajani, Gideon, Jace, Liliana, Chandra, and Garruk where I was hoping they would've continued the trend with other Planeswalkers.

One idea I had for running these foreign language cards in EDH / Commander would be to put both the English and Japanese cards together in a perfect fit with the English version face up with the Japanese version on the back in a regular sleeve. That way you can flip between both versions whenever you want similar to the Flip Planeswalkers from Magic Origins.

What I typically do is perfect fit the foreign cards, then print out a sticker with the translation on it and stick it to the perfect fit over the text box (typically from an image of the English card, so the colors match up), then sleeve it up. I get my foreign cards, and have the English text right on it as well!
