But it's only one creature at a time, so wouldn't that have to be X target creatures get -Y/-Y UOT. Draw X*Y cards?

With Vilis in play the life cost of Toxic Deluge draws you cards, was kirkus’s point, I think.

Correct. Thank you.

So the final wedgendary has been revealed: https://twitter.com/TheManaSource/status/1142163028307304449

Kethis, the Hidden Hand
WBG
Legendary Creature - Elf Advisor

Legendary spells you cast cost 1 less to cast.

Exile two legendary cards from your graveyard: Until end of turn, each legendary card in your graveyard gains "You may play this card from your graveyard."

The pen is mightier than the crown.

So, which new wedgendary are you looking forward to playing most? Least?

I'd say in least to most exciting order it's
Abzan
Mardu
Jeskai
Temur
Sultai

Kethis... even though mechanically there's nothing similar between the two cards, it feels like in some way it's supposed to be tied to Leovold, Emissary of Trest.

The art looks similar, they're both 3CMC wedge mythics, they're both elf advisors, and his flavor text references the "crown", aka the set Leovold is from.

Or maybe I'm just in a conspiracy mood today.

I was excited to see a WBG Legendary Elf. Then I read the card and fell asleep.

The only thing I find entertaining about Kethis is that he's the gossip columnist of the multiverse.

"Scandalicious News About Emrakul's Disastrous Beach Body!"

"Are Yawgmoth and Freyalise Dating? Rumors Swirl as a Heartbroken Urza OD's!"

Glad to see I'm not the only one that found Kethis lacking. I was really hopeful that the Abzan legend would play into the go wide theme, but alas.

My ranking from least to most interesting would be:

Abzan
Mardu
Big Gap
Sultai
Jeskai
Temur

I recognize that the Sultai, Panharmonicon-on-a-stick, legendary is strong, but I am just a little bored with this effect, especially since in my play group we have had an Inalla and a Naban. Really looking forward to the Jeskai and Temur legendaries though. Not sure which one to build though.

Least to most:

Temur - I'll wait at least two more colors to build Omnath.

Abzan - Its unique? Kinda boring, but unique.

Sultai - 4th place on this list is still "probably going to build."

Naya (buy-a-box promo) Gold card payoffs in good colors for gold creatures.

Mardu - Less explosive, more consistent than OG Kaalia. (that is to say, better.)

Jeskai - This makes one Jeskai general that's neither incredibly narrow or stiflingly oppressive. Finally.

Is someone at WOTC listening in?

In any case I am building GBu reanimator for standard, here's a link

Any Ideas?

It's perfectly fine to discuss things other than EDH in the "Random Chatter" forum. We have threads about books, cooking, movies, and all sorts of other things that aren't even about MtG, let alone EDH specifically.

Yup. Random Chatter is fine for just about anything. Including a thread about mustaches.

It's too bad the new Abzan commander has to do with legendary reanimator, in a sense at least. I already have a legendary reanimator deck in Ozhov and I enjoy it this way too much. There's several good, new Elementals to consider for my Elemental tribal deck though, and I mostly agree with this assessment of the Jeskai one:

Ah sorry friend I think you might have interpreted the meme the wrong way. It was not meant to express “don’t post about standard here” but instead “as a commander player who knows nothing about standard this link confuses me haha.” No ill will intended. Apologies for the confusion.

It certainly felt like a shot at me, but I'm not up with the meme's. This one (according to the Googles) is meant to convey confusion.

I think you would have been better served leaving the original quote of "Is this a pigeon", but no offence taken at this point.
