For enchantments, run Oblivion Stone, Nevinryal's Disk, Apocalypse, Omen of Fire (a pet card of mine) and Anarchy; many problem enchantments tend to be white.

Ankh of Mishra is another great burn artifact. So is Skullcage.

Manabarbs is pretty mean.

the deck had trouble hitting 5 lands, so I took out Shock and Barbed Lightning for 2 Mountains. I think Shock was replacing smth else, not sure what :S


last night with the mono-red:

Opponent is developing his board position and I'm falling way behind. He is at 26 and all I've got is a Balefire Liege and a Furnace of Rath in play. Attacks from him put me to 8. How do I manage the comeback win?

Untap, Char you, Hammer of Bogardan you, 26 on the dot =D


Balefire Liege seems slow O___o
Furnace of Rath = bomb xD

use a turbo-land destruction strategy so he is forced to play lands and shock himself via Zo-Zu. Then burn them out the rest of the way =D

Keldon Megaliths - Comes into play tapped, and Hellbent is a flawed mechanic, where you never want to have an empty hand.

Barbarian Ring - There really is no reason not to get this, other than the fact that he doesn't own one.

Ghitu Encampment - This is garbage. Comes into play tapped, and as a 2/1, the drawback of being come into play tapped is NOT outweighed by this.

Shinka, the Bloodsoaked Keep - There's no reason to play this over a basic mountain. This just gives your opponent a legal target for Wasteland.

Terramorphic Expanse - Essentially a land that comes into play tapped. Deck thinning isn't worth having a land coming into play tapped.

Nantuko monastery doesn't CIPT, and if you are chucking bolts you should hit thresh pretty quick. That's a good manland. Rishdan Port, Waste, Strip? Tangle Wire? Grim Lavamancer? Watchwolf?

Nantuko Monastery has GW in its activation cost and therefore (technically) can't be played since I am mono red. Same goes for Watchwolf.

I don't own a Grim Lavamancer.

The nonbasic lands get in my way since i am playing with very color-intensive cards. At 38 lands (original build) I already had trouble hitting 5 lands. Adding 2 more Mountains helped the mana problems out a lot. I am not interested in going out of my way to plow lands or whatnot, the deck just wants to sling fast creatures and burn spells.

Apart from Ember Gale and Bedlam, are there any other effects that say opposing creatures can't block? I don't wana play stuff like Waves of Indifference or Panic Attack...those aren't explosive enough.


Order/Chaos is nicely flexible. Master Warcraft is pretty castable as a hybrid, and it punches through
or acts as removal.

Maybe use Cursed Scroll, Goblin Charbelcher and Furnace of Rath. I use these cards in all my red base Decks.

you could use Fool's Tome for some card draw.

That would be the card mentioned earlier I believe, not fireblast. Obviously, both belong in the deck.
