Made a couple small changes, posting before I forget about them. Basically added more elves in the place off offtribe guys.

In:

Gilt-Leaf Winnower
Prowess of the Fair
Poison-Tip Archer

Out:

Gonti, Lord of Luxury
Dusk Legion Zealot
Gruesome Fate (I never seem to have the 8+ creatures that this card really wants.)

I'm currently building an elf deck (with Najeela, I'll make a thread about it eventually) and I revisited this thread for inspiration. Are you still playing this, and do you have any new inclusions? Guardian Project should be in this list, you have such a high creature count. And the best utility elf: Deathrite Shaman is too good to exclude.

A question: how do you feel about mana elves in an elf deck?

I've been away from EDH for a bit, but War of the Spark is pulling me back in. I've played the deck recently, but haven't added much recent stuff to it.

Mana elves are more explosive and less consistent. If the wrath happens (and it's going to happen), Wood Elves and Elvish Rejuvenator have already done their work. I'm an Orzhov mage at heart, so I always angle for the long-game. Your mileage may vary.

With you on Guardian Project, though. That card goes, well, pretty much anywhere forests do.

Did you end up keeping Mazirek?

That card is wildly unpredictable in power level -- if you're in a group where everyone's playing multi-color decks with the spread of fetch lands, it's insane. Otherwise, kinda meh. I think high variance cards are neat, but I could see it being annoying to play with, especially since this deck's not built around it.

I did keep it, and you are correct, it is incredibly unpredictable in power level. What's nice about the way the deck has played so far, is that in the times when it wouldn't be crazily advantageous, I've typically got enough cards where I can just play something else. It steals games more often than it should.
