I really think that you need more than this to justify banning. The card, while certainly very strong, is far from broken in this format. It only gets basic lands, it doesn't actually accelerate mana, and there is typically only a limited window of time in which it is good (until you have the most lands or someone blows it up, which isn't difficult).

Oh my god land tax TOTALLY has to go. I hate it when my opponent is all behind in land development and then he has the gall to get more land. When you're behind you're behind, admit it! You suck at magic, you aren't allowed to go searching your library for some lands there isn't another card in the entirety of magic that can do that! It's like...insta-win. Listen, the didn't reprint land search effects or land recursion for a reason. It's because it's the WIN dude. Must ban, agree completely.

I disagree that Land Tax needs banning. Sure it's good but it's easily removable and has a limitation. It's definitely not game breaking.

Just play Highlander. Definitely constrains its power when there's only 6 basics in the deck.

Otherwise, Black Vise usually combos well with it.

You can just naturalize it etc.

More importantly, it's not fetching anything game breaking.

It doesn't need to be banned.

WHAT?! How can you be so blinkered?!

It searches up multiple copies of the single more BAH-roken enablers in the history of Magic: Island.

It has to go.

You guys are right, scroll rack is so bad, and adding land tax just makes it worse.

That said, it's powerful, has been banned before, but not sure if it's worth it in this highlander format.

It would be one thing if you could run four of them and get 12 lands each turn to feed to massive scroll racks... but that doesn't happen in highlander. I don't really see why it should be banned, other than I don't have one yet. 8)

The coolest use I have seen with it was with a scroll rack. guy was running a Hokori/geddon deck and would turn those 3 worthless basic lands into 3 real cards.
