The preview today was Gaddok Teeg. He seems like a very abusable and somewhat format-breaking general. Extremely low-costed too.

Thoughts?

I may be very new to this format, but when I saw him I thought that he may be quite a bit over the power line.
Me and my friends are all getting into EDH (we all play competitive Type 1.5, so this is a good change of pace every other week)
and there are quite a few 4+ costing and several X spells to be slung.

He seems perhaps too strong. Maybe not Rofellos strong, but very strong nonetheless.

He is very strong, and should be watched. That said, it seems to me that with the cheaper removal that is abundant in this format and and the creatures that can still be used (he allows creatures to be cast), he can be dealt with and is not too ridiculous. I would say that he should at least be given a chance, but we should certainly keep an eye on him.

Looks interesting, but not overpowering. I'd probably leave him in play for a while to keep the nasty Briberys, Blatant Thieverys, and the like under control then blast him out of the way when I don't want him around anymore.

There are a lot of ways to make that guy leave play that either come on a creature or cost less than 4.

That guy would be a WHOLE lot stronger in this format if the number were 3 rather than 4. I'm looking at you, Pernicious Deed, Vedalken Shackles, Recurring Nightmare, Oblivion Stone, ....

As was stated in that OTHER post about the same topic.. since creatures gain a sort of immunity, it just means more fun in the red zone.
