When I hear the name Tiny Leader, I can't help but think of this guy;

No, that format is Rotund Leader.

Just put together a Dragonclaw list and a Shu Yun list. Having a huge amount of fun playing this format. Lovely change of pace from normal multiplayer.

Will probably keep together the Shu Yun deck even when the hype dies down as I managed to build it exclusively out of cards not in my usual Commander decks.

Initially I was excited about this format but after looking at some posts on the facebook page, deck lists and videos I'm less enthusiastic. People seem excited about the prospect of finally getting to play mill, hand destruction, land destruction and combo. These are not strategies I want to play against.

Pardic Miner + Alesha was one suggestion I read online that was particularly unappealing.

Tiny Leaders is basically singleton Legacy.

And if you go in with this POV, it's a lot of fun. Over her all Commander outside our group at work is French 1V1 so this is not much of a step. That's a nasty combo indeed. I'll fail to mention it to our Alesha player.

Yeah, it's supposed to be more competitive, 1v1, and quick.

Personally, I'm in to that, not as a primary format or anything, but as a cheaper and more interesting alternative to Legacy as something to play when I get knocked out first. I hope it gets popular enough that WotC does a round of precons for it someday.

Why.. OOOH why isn't there a 5color legend with cmc<4?
(I know why, this is a rhethorical question to highlight my complaint of never being able to play my idea of a Maze's End TurboFog deck.)

Another question... Is Wheel of Fortune banned or isn't it?
I find a 3 month old recent banlist without it and an undated one with it...
And no notice of a banning or unbanning.

If you are asking questions about the Tiny Leaders ban list, you are doing it on the wrong site.

I keep getting knee-jerk reactions every time I try to build a list for this format just so people will stop asking me to build a list for it. This is mostly because I keep eyeing Varolz and saying to myself, "You know, I do have that Entomb, Buried Alive, Sylvan Tutor, Worldly Tutor, Green Sun's Zenith, Summoner's Pact, Grim Tutor if I need them, and ALL of the best cards to Scavenge are available, like Death's Shadow, Phyrexian Dreadnought, Force of Savagery, Myr Superion, Phyrexian Soulgorger..."

So, after a number of months playing this format, is anyone getting really sore over the Vintage singleton aspect which is clearly part of this format?

I've witnessed a few games of this format now - and well, my opinion on it hasn't changed.

1. It isn't "mini-edh", it just has access to a single legend at all times like EDH does.
2. It's either fast and brutal; or head-smashingly boring.
3. Its combo combo combo-tacular. And really, really boring.
4. Way to consistent for me.

I would argue that one of the very few things separating the format from Legacy is that it's inconsistent. There's only so many ways to double up on certain effects without having to run some very questionable cards.

The format really needs more generals. It's very solved now.

In a format designed for competitive 1v1 play, it seems to me that the format would become solved again very quickly were you to insert a new batch of generals. You might get a short period of flux while people figured out how good the new ones are... especially if a BUG was released... but I think things would quickly settle out.
