I'm still rather new here, however I've seen this card come up a lot in discussions regarding the recent unbannings.

What I would like to ask the community is how dangerous do you feel Crucible of Worlds or Rofellos would be without it?
Ok so Rofellos will still grant the mana acceleration of manaflare but is it really that bad in mono green?

Fastbond has gotten my attention, to say the least. We'll definitely be keeping an eye on it.

This has been one of my questions, too, and I'm glad to see that there's some rules attention going on there. What really bothers me here is that many people seem to think that Fastbond is the real problem, not Crucible. And yet, Crucible was unbanned while Fastbond remained untouched. Hearing that it is being watched eases my mind a bit, although it leads to a new question: Why isn't it on the Watch List, then? Am I just really misinterpreting what that list is supposed to represent?

Yeah, I had always felt that it was the card of the two, not crucible, which needed banning, because technically, it's the infinite combo enabler. I can do sick combo things with Fastbond and Sunder on the order of Upheaval that crucible was never banned for.

whenever I've read posts about green decks getting insane kills off on turns 3-5 it always seems to include fast bond somewhere especially with the printing of a card like shard convergence and fast mana artifacts like sol ring.

We played a 9 player game with the new ban/unban list last night. And we had alot of problems with Crusible of Worlds.

But as it turned out, problem is not Crusible but fastbound. One game someone pulled out Fastbound + Crusible +Zuran Orb combo. Destroyed all other players land with Strip Mine. Gain infinite life and mana....
