That isn't sarcasm, I'm actually very curious. I saw this comment by Sheldon and was surprised that the official rules aren't how someone on the EDH rules committee plays the game.

Are these alternate rules written somewhere? I checked the House Rules and Philosophy sections of the main site and couldn't find anything about off-colour fetches.

We play by the official rules. Not playing off-color fetches isn't a rule, it's a stylistic choice.

For the love of all things sacred (pizza, love and puppydog kisses), please don't do anything with "off color" fetchlands. As a broke father if two, using the mirage fetches and shard fetches is the only way I can add fetchlands to my decks.

My local store is the only place I can play due to tiny apartment living and they exclusively use your banned list.

Please continue to go by your favorite advice and use house rules if you don't like it in your playgroup.

Maybe not. But I'll certainly frown disapprovingly for a moment if you play an ugly card.

We can't ban white border cards, but we should ban people who run them.

Except revised, which looks bitchin'. Unlimited can come along for the ride I guess.

(I recognize I'm in the minority on my opinion about Revised. This means thay're cheaper, which is fine by me.)

Actually, I was referring to the post-Mirrodin card frame. I have nothing against white borders.
