So I was surprised to see that someone had not already started a topic about this. While we do not know much, it seems like we are getting a potential planeswalker who appears " to be in her seventies. She wore thick red robes, and her silver hair was tied in a loose, somewhat frizzy braid at her side." https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/magic-story/wool-over-eyes-2018-02-14.

So I wonder could this be Jhoira with Karn and Teferi?

Will we finally get a u/r legendary Artificer?

Will the Gatewatch recover from the defeat at Bolas' hands?

So many other questions!

With perfect mana, reasonable removal, disruption, and card advantage, we're back to pitchforks and torches. And it's about to get worse for those who do not enjoy the game as Richard Garfield intended, playing as few win conditions as possible and prompting concession after all hopes (and spells) are lost. - Shaheen Soorani

I love how none of those tags link to the characters' cards.

Jhoira herself is nearly immortal due to her experiences at Tolaria following the disaster. She managed to rig a means to collect water from a pool that had been affected by the temporal rifts. Drinking that water slowed the aging process to a near-absolute stand still, causing her appearance to age days over the course of centuries

Possible, certainly. But I would not say probable. If for no other reason than fans want a UR Artifact General, so WOTC won't do it. Unless they make her a planeswalker just to spite everyone (here's your Legendary UR Artificer, sorry she can't go to the command zone).

Unless, of course, they go the other route like Ulrich, technically meeting the request without actually coming close to what fans actually want.

Yes, that's awesome.

I figured this was old Jaya Ballard. The description above matches the art we've already seen:

I had hoped so, beyond hope as Jaya is my favorite planeswalker, but she is basically an older Chandra so I didn't want to get my dreams crushed.

A Jaya Planeswalker would make my year

I want to see her just to see how she would be funtionally different to Chandra seeing as she's essentially the inspiration & epitomy of Chandra already.

Pyromancer's Goggles as foreshadowing?

That's not how magic works. You can't equate cards and situations linearly like that!
