Today's preview is, depending on context, either the single most useful or the single most unplayable card ever printed.

... ?

Mana. It's what holds a deck together and wedge colours can be tricky to support. There are opposition painlands and fetchlands, but few expressly wedge-coloured lands. The Command Tower fills that spot for the official MTG:Commander precons... or any other deck in the format. There's really not much else to say... no real drawback, and ultimately flexible.

Fantastic mana fixing. Enemy colored, wedge, and budget 5c decks were dying for something like this.

Fuckin' A! One in every EDH deck, ever. Why wouldn't you play this?

I like how it's a blank card in non-EDH so Legacy won't have any reason to get their filthy mitts on it, but for us, it's better than a $125 dual land (well, except that it doesn't have a land type, of course.)

Does this mean we're not getting wedge trilands? Bummer.

Well, this is probably better than those, but still...

Actually, wait. Not EVERY EDH deck. Karn can't tap this for mana. But besides him...

EDIT: He might be able to tap for 1 colorless. Not sure. Either way, it doesn't deserve a slot in that particular deck. Also, colorless commanders with a mono-color identity in rules text probably won't want this either.

Would mono-colored generals rather have a basic land in this spot?

This card is... problematically awesome.

As in, every single one of my EDH decks wants it. And there is no way I can possibly get enough to for every deck, since the more Commander decks I buy, the more custom decks I will have the resources to build.

I wonder how much these will sell for as singles online.

Take that legacy. You want to take our product like coworkers take lunches from company fridges? Well like any good office worker, we put our name on it.

At worse, the same as reflecting pool. Probably going to be the same as Exotic Orchard though, maybe a little more. Wedge decks and Five color decks are the only ones that really want this card since two color decks don't need the fixing as bad and allied colors have better support already.

Um. I'd like to go ahead and disagree. Dual colour decks will play this. Many of us do not have duals. Not even shocklands, or fetchlands. I stoop to Ice Age pain lands in my decks, even in dual colour ones. This absolutely goes in any deck that isn't mono-coloured for me. There is little reason not to play this (pretty much Ruination and Detritivore are the reasons not to).

But yeah, my Scion deck absolutely cannot wait for this. I hate rupture spire and stuff.

It gives 5 color decks a big kick in the ass, especially ones that actually try and cast their general.
